Beaches of Spain

Enforex

Whether you're looking to windsurf, snorkel or just lay out in the sun, you'll find what you're looking for in Spain's beaches.

Spain, which occupies the bulk of the Iberian Peninsula, juts out into the ocean and is almost entirely surrounded by water. This means that Spain enjoys over 8,045 kilometers (5,000 miles) of coastline. From the ritzy beach resorts of the southern Costa del Sol to the intimate coves of the northern Cantabrian coastline, Spain's beaches boast vastly diverse geography and even include two paradisaical archipielagos: the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands.

The FEE (Foundation for Environmental Education) has bestowed the European Blue Flag distinction, which recognizes the top quality beaches throughout the world, upon nearly 500 of Spain's beaches. That's far more than any other country!
