If you are looking for an adrenalin rush then you may have just hit the nail on the head as it offers some of the best peaks on the Iberian Peninsula. With the world Alpine ski championships also taking place here, you will have no problems getting an ideal day or weekend on the slopes.

These mainstream events are closely followed during the seasons, as can be seen in the loyal fan base that follows the city's football team, the CF Granada, and its basketball team, the CB Granada.
