During your stay in Marbella you will be over run with some great activities whether your tastes take you to some of the fine museums waiting to accomidate or perhaps you want to try out the food and drink that has given Marbella its unique character. Though why stop there as there are festivities going on all year around so here below is a list throughout the months of what you can check out and see what section you drop into to see if it catches your interest!

  • January- Cabalgata de los Reyes, the celebration of the three kings where three locals or celebrities will dress up as the kings proceeding through the town on horseback distributing sweets to nearby children with a party going on all around.
  • February- Carnval, numerous parties and processions will be going on and you can take the pick with the wide range of music and exciting activities keeping the crowds going
  • March- Holy Week, It has a collection of festivities that lasts for a week where a procession of religious floats are carried through the streets. Hooded groups of religious brotherhoods and it is then a marching band.
  • April- Market of the documentary European and Latin American, a multi media event which attracts several countries and has had a bigger crowd drawn into the excitement each year.
  • May- Romeria of the Juanar Cross, Those involved in the tradition are called Romeros and they travel to the top of the 'Cruz de Juanar' in this 19th century celebration
  • June- Dia del Pescaito (fried fish day) its all about the seafood here and you can really find yourself a winner with the quality of the food that brings in a big crowd, local and tourist.
  • July- La Virgen del Carmen, it is a celebration of religious influence and it has chapel services alongside a host of fishermen in procession.
  • August- Feria de Malaga, the whole city parties with flamenco dancing and puts all of the town in the party mood
  • September- Semana Internacional de Cine (international movie week) it attracts the celebrities for a great multimedia production.
  • October- Fiestas of San Pedro de Alcántara, an all day party where the streets are decorated.
  • November- Fiesta del Tostón, all saints day alongside this is a religious festival with some serious tradition behind it.
  • December- New years eve is always an exciting time of the year with the change over drawing near, you can get involved as there are an abundance of activity going on, sure to provide you with a great time.
