Sports in Sevilla

Introduction

When thinking about sport in Sevilla you will have host of choices that are possibilities as notably they have gained recognition for the olympics (summer) on two occasions, now that Rio has succeeded in hosting the 2016 olympics Sevilla will try once again to host one of the most important sporting events around. These teams are Sevilla Futbol club (established in 1905 who is owned by the fans) and Real Betis Balompié SAD (established 1907 and although havent had the best luck with trophies have still managed to have a considerably high attendence from the fans).

If you like the sound of basketball then you will be pleased to know that the local team is ready and waiting, founded in 1987 making it the youthful sport in comparison to football. CAJASOL Sevilla are a steady team with their loyal fans that over the years have racked up their fair share of titles including the euroleague on several occasions. One final point with Sevilla is its diversity in providing a brilliant skiing resort nearby named the Sierra Nevada mountain range, with 61 kilometers of runways just waiting to accomidate you what more do you need?
