Festivals and Holidays in Valencia

- June - Festival of Sant Joan, where bonfires are lit at the beach and other celebrations commense.
- July - Feria de Julio, where celebrations such as music concerts and bullfights are common practise for the festival of july.
- August - One of the most recognized and slightly strange traditions, the battle of the tomatoes where for an hour the public pelt each other with squashed tomatos and needless to say the washing machines are certainly tested later that day as the atmosphere becomes full of excitement though tomato fed chaos!
- October - Feast of San Dionís which is compared with Saint Valentines day where loved ones will exchange gifts to show their appreciation for one another.
- November - Next is the Todos los Santos which is considered very important as it is where families will get together to go to the graveyards where they light candles for loved ones who have passed away over the years.
- December - the one that everyone knows which is new years, as you can imagine a rush of excitement and activities going on everywhere and you can really get involved to cheer in the new year!
